Although my internship was technically a marketing/work internship, it was also a daily food experience. I’m so grateful to have found a group of people who LOVE food as much as me!! We went out to eat pretty much every day, and I could just kick myself for not taking pictures of all the other treats we shared over the months.

Top Photo: Homemade Guatemalan enchiladas. We went to Marjorie’s mom’s house one day, and she made us this DIVINE meal. I had no idea what made Guatemalan enchiladas Guatemalan, but then she came out with pickled cabbage, green beans, and beets on top of spicy ground beef and topped with sliced hard boiled eggs, all on top of a crunchy corn tortilla. I LOATHE beets, but this was truly one of the top ten meals of my lifetime.

Left: We got this deep dish pizza on one of the last days at Raging Artists. I don’t care for deep dish, and was also mildly disappointed in the absence of meat (I’m a true carnivore-all meat, all the time kinda chick), but even despite this, it was a pretty great slice.

Right: I got a new boyfriend, and his name is the super burrito from El Atacor Restaurant in Lincoln Heights. This burrito was about $7 (came with meat, rice, cheese, lettuce, salsa, guacamole…) and weighed appx. 5 lbs and was appx. twice the size of my own head. I can eat, let me tell you- but I barely made a dent in this guy.
